General Terms:
GMC Roofing & Building Paper Products, Inc. (“GMC”) provides the following warranties to the original consumer of its Roofing products and Building Material Products.
These warranties cover the following products:
GMC’s # 30 ASTM D226 Type II (Single layer and Double layer application)
ORGANIC 40 PREMIUM BASE SHEET and related products
Building Paper 60 Min, 30 Min and 10 min (Single and Double Layer)
Glass Base Sheet # 40
Warranty Periods:
- ASTM D226 Type II Product: 10-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects for a single layer application and 20 years for double layer application .
- ORGANIC 40 PREMIUM BASE:
- 30-year warranty for double ply installations.
- 15-year warranty for single ply installations
- Building Paper: GM Craft 60 min, 30 min and 10 Min ESR 2376 Single layer
- Covers a limited 10 year and Double layer cover 20 year limited Warranty
- Glass Base Sheet covers 20 year limited warranty
2. Installation:
- All Products must be applied per manufactures specifications
3. Exclusions:
- Damage due to misuse, improper installation, or exposure to excess UV light.
- Damage from severe weather, chemicals, or unauthorized repairs.
- Costs associated with removal or replacement of materials not covered.
4. Transferability:
- The ORGANIC 40 PREMIUM BASE warranty is transferable once to a new homeowner for an additional two years.
5. Claims Process:
- Defects must be reported in writing within 30 days of discovery.
- GMC may require access to the property for inspection and testing.
- GMC’s sole obligation is to replace defective materials (due to manufacturing defects) the customer is responsible for handling and transport costs.
6. Limitation of Liability:
- GMC disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, except as required by law.
- GMC is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or revenue.
